Suraya
Suraya is a beautiful young mare that found herself in the slaughter pipeline. Her ever-friendly personality and incredible blue eyes caught our attention. She was bailed in honor and remembrance of Linda Gabriel Sale. Linda was formerly a police officer who had a talent in making jewelry and crafts. Her greatest joy was horses.
Our hope for Suraya - "Suraya Gabrielle" meaning God's Princess in the Stars - is that she will serve in Linda's memory as a community outreach ambassador once trained.

"Perhaps they are not stars, but rather openings in heaven where the love of our lost ones pours through and shines down upon us to let us know they are happy."

Fun at the Farm
We are currently getting Suraya used to people, dogs, cats, goats, sheep, donkeys, pigs, ducks, and chickens. She is halter trained and we are working on leading. She enjoys baths and will "talk" to you to say hello!
Suraya
Quiet Time in Quarantine
Suraya let us clean her eyes and nose and give her a full body bath. She is a beautiful Cremello color and looked to be only 2 or 3 years old. She is wearing a UV protection fly mask due to her light blue eyes. They're like horse sunglasses!

Arrival to the Rescue
Suraya arrived to the rescue with a group of other mares rescued from slaughter just in time. Suraya had a bloody nose and her poor beautiful eyes crusted over. She was sick and scared.
